Grades 3-5: Tools for Developing Vibrant Talk

In this Grades 3-5 Think Tank, educators will explore how to develop partner talk through routines that foster collaboration, deep listening, and clear communication. Participants will also examine how guided minilessons and games can be used to develop the habits of mind that underlie effective learning behaviors.

  • use key pedagogical moves to improve math learning, communication, and social interactions in their classrooms.

  • access to routine write-ups they can use to develop partner talk.
  • write-ups of specific lessons they can use to develop vibrant student talk in their own classrooms.
