In this K-2 Think Tank, educators will explore how mathematical models can be used to develop deep reasoning in early number. A new type of model, the Thinking Frame, will also be highlighted as a tool that can support fluency in early number, addition, and subtraction. Participants will receive access to the Thinking Frame APP as well as lesson write-ups they can use in their own classrooms.

PARTICIPANTS WILL EXPLORE HOW TO:
- use a variety of mathematical models to develop computational fluency.
- use a series of lessons to develop and support students’ additive reasoning.
- use key pedagogical moves to improve math learning, communication, and social interactions in their classrooms.
PARTICIPANTS WILL LEAVE WITH:
- access to the new Thinking Frame APP.
- lesson write-ups for developing big ideas and strategies in early number, addition, and subtraction.
