In this 3-day intensive, educators will deepen their own content knowledge in relation to fractions. Sessions are designed to develop participants’ understanding of critical learning trajectories and the mathematical big ideas and strategies which comprise them. Special attention will be given to common teaching ‘pitfalls’ when it comes to teaching fractions, as well as ways in which we can shift our instruction in order to promote a more robust understanding of fractions.
